I don't think I'd ever realized how sweet and calming donkeys can be, until I visited the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, in Puslinch, Ontario. The Sanctuary is an amazing place, and my mood improves as soon as I walk into their yard. They care for a large amount of animals (not just donkeys!) on their own farm, as well as on foster farms. As a result of my visits there, I now have a deep seated love of donkeys, and a desire to give back to this community that cares for them, so I made a pin to celebrate that love, and to raise money for the Sanctuary.
